Working in close collaboration, UNT Department of Library and Information Sciences and the California State University, Northridge Library created a special MLIS program to serve the Greater Los Angeles area.
This program:
- Admits a limited number of students to enable a vibrant learning community
- Combines two four-day institutes at CSUN with a highly interactive online experience
- Provides an opportunity for on-site advising and program planning
- Establishes links with the local library and information community
- Encourages local student organizations and associations
- Provides a variety of opportunities for students to meet formally and informally
