Hello SLA-SCC community,

It is coming time for the spring edition newsletter, and we would like to encourage anyone who has special library related news to contribute!
We aim to better represent all perspectives and interests, so please feel free and inspired to submit an article from any range of topics that relate to our field.

Some topic ideas: obscure/curious library collection materials discovered on the job, emerging technologies and developments in the field, and of course our favorite, reviews of library tours. Please share a book review or summary of a conference you attend!

The submission deadline is April 15. Please send contributions to newsletter@southerncalifornia.sla.org.

We look forward to compiling the next issue. Enjoy the spring!

Hello SLA-SCC community!

Ashley Soo and Nicoletta Beyer look forward to beginning 2013 as new SLA-SCC members and your new newsletter editors!  Ashley and Nicoletta are starting the poaching process for the January/February 2013 newsletter and have some great stories, reviews and news.  Here are some ideas for this edition:

Did you recently start a new job? Are you a new member of SLA?  Is there a new information technology being implemented at your library? Was there a holiday read that is itching for a book review?

It’s time to write up all the wonderful activities and accomplishments you’ve done lately — and announce upcoming events.

Any length story is welcome. Please send text and pictures by February 15th to Ashley Soo at ashleysoo@ucla.edu or Nicoletta Beyer at nbeyer@ucla.edu.
